Navigating the complexities of life with a disability, Cindy-Anne's story is one of triumph over adversity. Despite facing her sixth traumatic brain injury in 2015 and a lengthy recovery period over the next seven years, Cindy-Anne’s steadfast determination led her to Make A Change Canada to pursue post-secondary studies in technology design and development. Now living in the Yukon Territory and working with the Government of Yukon, Department of Justice, Cindy-Anne enjoys a new and highly rewarding career. Cindy-Anne reflects daily on her Indigenous values as a source of inspiration and pride. She is also a passionate advocate for Indigenous Peoples, particularly Indigenous youth in her community. Other causes that Cindy-Anne champions are addressing violence against women and LGBTQIA2S+ rights.
